Georgia commit Khamari Brooks announces season-ending injury

News on Georgia Bulldogs football commits just keep running rampant around the Peach State on Monday and this time, it was an injury that will be derailing a player’s 2025 season.

North Oconee senior four-star EDGE Khamari Brooks announced on social media via X that his 2025 high school football season has come to an end due to a hip fracture. Brooks, ranked No. 142 nationally and No. 16 in Georgia per the Rivals Industry Rankings, added that the injury won’t require surgery, but will be out of action for three months.

Loved the journey these past 4 years. Though my season is cut short I cant do anything but Thank God for giving me the opportunity to play this sport I love and to play this sport in college. I fractured my hip and will be out 3 months with no surgery.

Brooks will now focus on getting healthy before heading over to Athens, just a mere 10 miles away for the future Georgia Bulldog. The senior defensive end committed to the Bulldogs back in late June and spoke very highly about Georgia.

“Georgia is a great school,” Brooks said after committing to Georgia in June. “They have great coaches and great players at Georgia. The coaches at Georgia always recruited me hard.”

North Oconee is currently 6-0 on the season and are slated to face Eastside on the road on Friday night.
