LSU commit Deuce Geralds becomes Georgia's all-time sack leader

Collins Hill (Ga.) senior four-star defensive lineman Deuce Geralds (LSU commit) went into the record books in last week’s 28-7 win over Dacula.

Geralds announced via social media that the LSU commitment had passed former Norcross standout
Lorenzo Carter to become the Peach State’s all-time high school football sack leader, now with 51 quarterback takedowns for his prep career.

“God is amazing and all glory goes to him. Thanks to my parents, teammates, school, and coaches for supporting me in my journey,” Geralds said in a post on X.

Geralds this season has been a menace for opposing offensive line units as the defensive has totaled 75 tackles, 29 for a loss and 13.5 sacks this season.

The 6-foot-1, 270-pound defensive stalwart is ranked as the Rivals Industry’s No. 9 defensive lineman and No. 95 prospect overall. Geralds committed to LSU back in early august, but with Brian Kelly being dismissed as head coach late Sunday evening, speculation will fly around all current commits of the Tigers.

“With LSU it’s been my dream school growing up my whole life,” Geralds said back in early August after his commitment. “I loved LSU since I was a little kid. It’s my hometown. I have family there. I just want to come back home and turn up Baton Rouge and the 225 and I want to be part of that.

“I’ve been wanting to be part of that since I was a little kid. To be part of it now is a blessing and dream come true.”

Collins Hill finishes the regular season on Friday night against winless Discovery.
