Mississippi High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Nov. 3

The high school football season continued in Mississippi last week, as many of the top programs in the Magnolia State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed. 

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Mississippi high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Nov 3.

1. West Point Green Wave

The Green Wave became Mississippi high school football’s top team after a 38-7 victory over New Hope. Colt Whitacre threw for 145 yards and a touchdown, while Quentin Thompson rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown. West Point will face Columbus on November 6.

2. Tupelo Golden Wave

The Golden Wave are on a five-game winning streak after a 49-0 shutout victory against Lewisburg. Tupelo dominated on the ground, thanks to Jaeden Hill (120 rushing yards, two touchdowns), Jaqelas Wharton (92 yards, one touchdown), Kylan Bobo (78 yards, one TD), and Braylen Williams (11 yards, two TDs). Williams also completed a TD pass to Zacoryian Baskin. The Golden Wave can improve to 10-1 by defeating DeSoto Central on November 6.

3. Oxford Chargers

In the Chargers’ 42-0 victory over Murrah, Knox Kiffin threw for 138 yards and a touchdown, while Demar Jamerson completed three rushing TDs. Kevin Smith and Kingston Gregory each had a receiving TD. Meanwhile, the Oxford defense generated 11 tackles for losses (including three sacks) and four interceptions. The Chargers will continue the 2025 Mississippi high school football season against Starkville on November 6.

4. Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots

The Patriots are on a nine-game winning streak after a 35-12 victory over Simpson County Academy. Madison-Ridgeland Academy has momentum leading into the playoffs, and they will face Jackson Academy on November 14.

5. Ocean Springs Greyhounds

The Greyhounds are on a three-game winning streak after a 35-0 shutout victory over Harrison Central. Solomon Baggett rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown, while Chalmers Berglind completed a touchdown pass to Ian Michael Harlan. Meanwhile, the Ocean Springs defense generated three sacks and three interceptions. The Greyhounds’ 2025 Mississippi high school football season will continue with a November 6 road game against St. Martin.
