Mississippi High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Oct. 27

The high school football season continued in Mississippi last week, as many of the top programs in the Magnolia State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Mississippi high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 27.

1. Tupelo Golden Wave

The Golden Wave are on a four-game winning streak after a 38-13 triumph over Horn Lake. Tupelo’s ground game generated 222 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Braylen Williams had two touchdowns, while Jaeden Hill and Kylan Bobo each had a rushing TD. On defense, Iverson McCoy had two interceptions. The Golden Wave will continue the 2025 Mississippi high school football regular season against Lewisburg on October 30.

2. West Point Green Wave

The Green Wave improved to 8-0 after a 51-7 domination against Caledonia. Colt Whitacre threw a touchdown pass to Justin White, while Josh Young and Kingston Branham each had a rushing touchdown. West Point can earn their ninth consecutive victory by defeating New Hope on October 31.

3. Oxford Chargers

The Chargers continued the 2025 Mississippi high school football season with a 33-23 win against Clinton. Knox Kiffin threw for 186 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Demar Jamerson finished with 112 rushing yards and a TD. On defense, Collin Flanigan had eight tackles and an interception. Oxford will face Murrah on October 30.

4. Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots

The Patriots pushed their winning streak to eight games after a 42-7 domination of Brookhaven Academy. This result marks the second time Madison-Ridgeland Academy limited their opponent to single-digit scoring. They will face Simpson County Academy on October 31.

5. Ocean Springs Greyhounds

The Greyhounds have won back-to-back games after defeating West Harrison, 56-21. Solomon Baggett was unstoppable, tallying 203 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Ocean Springs will advance to an October 31 game against Harrison Central.
