It’s been over 15 months since Notre Dame landed a commitment from Lake Mary (Fla.) four-star quarterback Noah Grubbs. The 6-foot-4.5 gunslinger has only shined since.

After suffering back-to-back losses, Lake Mary needed a spark in a big way on Friday night. Grubbs delivered just that in a 55-17 victory over Hagerty, firing for 329 yards and six touchdown passes.

It’s Grubbs’ biggest game of his senior season and brings his passing touchdown tally up to 11 for the year. He’s now up to 928 passing yards and is averaging over 13 yards per completion.

In a season-opening victory over Norland, he finished with three scores through the air and one on the ground. The Rams then beat Osceola, but fell to 2-2 after a pair of tough matchups against Lakeland and Raines, both of which rank as top-15 teams in Florida, according to the Massey Ratings. Friday’s win puts Lake Mary back over .500 as it now gears up for the second half of the regular season.

As a junior, Grubbs threw for over 3,000 yards and 37 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. He led Lake Mary to a Florida 7A state title game appearance. That followed a breakout sophomore campaign, where he compiled nearly 3,700 yards and 49 scores through the air. Grubbs now has 124 total touchdowns to his name.

He committed to Notre Dame on June 1, 2024 and has remained fully locked in with Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish since. Grubbs has taken multiple visits to South Bend and intends on being ND’s QB of the future.

“The tradition,” Grubbs told Rivals upon choosing Notre Dame last summer. “The atmosphere. Obviously the history. The prestigious school that it is … Also the thing I picked up on that not a lot of people pick up on, there are only 8,500 people that attend Notre Dame. There are no sororities, no fraternities, no distractions outside of football. You’re there to get your work done academically and you’re there to get your work done on the field … And that’s exactly what represents me.”

Grubbs is the No. 255 overall prospect and No. 21 QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 35 player in Florida.

Lake Mary, the No. 31 team in the Sunshine State, returns to action next Friday at North Miami Beach. The Massey Ratings predict a 40-7 win for the Rams.
