I have been a member of this board since 2007 under different accounts, I am as big of Husker fan as anyone, a huge Rhule fan (still am), and at the beginning of 2025, I just knew, like most, that this was the year we return to relevancy! I wonder if Dylan stays healthy during USC and we pull that win off, could we have gotten to 9-10 wins? Woulda, coulda, shoulda....
I love the CEO aspect Coach Rhule brought to the position, but I am afraid I may have given him too much credit on his staff management and X's O's.
The Raiola family must of had him leveraged and I was proud of him for the way he went against that force and did corrective action, although I had mixed feelings about losing the face of the program.
This transfer portal season really seemed lack luster with a dedicated high dollar GM, with a sh*tload of resources, coming up so apparently short!
With all of that said, I have found myself on here less and an apathy has set in. Is it a Riley or Frost apathy, not yet, but this is familiar!
Family man, Patriot, and Nebraskan are the core of my identity and I want nothing more that Matt Rhule to succeed!
I fully support him and the moves he made, while also I am questioning him for the first time since he arrived!

If his new GM isn't way smarter then everyone else its going to be a really tough year of empty seats. I actually like how the schedule sets up for our team to gain early momentum so I have hope. The problem is I know out talent is 8-12 in the league and it's not even worth watching the team in November. Probably be some massive blowouts. Even in 2003 when Bo Pelini arrived and made huge changes on D the team was still blown out vs K-state, Texas, and Missouri.I have been a member of this board since 2007 under different accounts, I am as big of Husker fan as anyone, a huge Rhule fan (still am), and at the beginning of 2025, I just knew, like most, that this was the year we return to relevancy! Someone really needs to put together a compilation of all of the "Apathy has set in posts" starting back in 2015. We do this same thing every single off season. This is followed by some hype for the spring game, 10 posts about how the format of the spring game is all wrong, then we'll hear how the team looked like crap in the spring game, then fall camp will start up interest again.
