If I had the option of going and getting anyone, I’d go pay the GT coach double what he makes now. We messed up two years ago not getting O’Connor from UVA and now he’s in Starkville smh

Believe O’Connor turned us down. We probably could have gotten the WFU coach.

He was actually at UVA from 2004-2025. Shows how far we’ve fallen perception-wise that he would rather live in Starkville than coach for us smh. I’m willing to bet if Ray had offered him 2.5M a year he would’ve considered us a lot more than he did, I’m sure our offer was nowhere near that number

We can speculate, but all I know is he removed his name prior to any offer being made.

We are paying Tanner 1.6 million to sit on his butt. Fire Maineri and make Tanner coach this Titanic of a team.

Out of that list I’d most prefer Walter and Canham. Canham would be a tough pull though, pretty sure he played at Oregon State. I’d add Ostrander from Southern Miss and Ramsey from GT. Ramsey is currently making $450K at GT, offer him $1M+ and get him to bring his whole roster with him in the portal lol

I just can’t get behind a mid major coach who hasn’t made serious postseason noise. Nowadays with the portal you need to do everything you can to poach a proven P4 coach and get him to bring a large portion of his guys with him through the portal. MSST did it and they went from absolutely mediocre to being a top 5 team this season

Yeah there’s certainly other options out there. Those are ones that I just either have really liked in the past or ones that I seriously think would take this job. Baseball fans need to look into Jordan Bischel. He doesn’t just win, he wins at cold weather schools. Took his D2 team to their postseason. He took Central Michigan to the postseason in three of four years. Central Michigan! Took Cincinnati to the postseason last year and is off to a good start this year.

Ray is a DA, and that doesn’t mean he’s a District Attorney..I thoroughly enjoyed the St Patrick’s Day celebration I went to today, and our neighborhood oyster roast tonight. Never checked on our game, and really don’t care anymore. I fully expect us to lose and an apathetic to baseball now. Thank you DA….
