This is Major Tom to ground control: I'm in northern Lee county and I've been up since 4:00. I went to bring some family to my house to keep warm. I already had a complete sheet of ice on my truck. Not much on the roads yet, but the side roads are frozen with a thin layer of ice. Nothing much on trees and not much coming down YET. 8:20 am saturday

Sleet and snow here. Roads are covered but very little on the grass yet because it’s mostly sleet.

Absolutely nothing here except panic buying. I would say its people that got caught with their pants down during helene, but this area panic bought during covid.

56* here and overcast. Supposed to get in the mid to upper 60’s. If the sun will pop through I might go walk 9 holes. I did crank my generator this week and have plenty of fuel just in case.

Nothing here in Brandon. Don’t think we’ll get anything other than rain. Bread, peanut butter, beer and whiskey ready to go just in case.

I don’t care what it does as long as it’s not freezing rain

It would help when people post to know WHERE they are. I always look here for weather, we’re on the coast so not too worried but the temps look like crap all week.

North of Dallas. Mostly light sleet overnight, but we did get a glaze of freezing rain first. Roads are poor but there are a few people getting around. Supposed to get another round of heavy sleet or snow tonight. I stocked up on supplies this week just in case, but I most likely have some form of PTSD from 2021.

Souther Lee Co.,MS, freezing rain here, 1/4”accumulating on the drive and roads. Trees are glistening with ice. Supposed to go on all day and deep into Sunday. Cooking vegetable/beef soup and grilled cheese for lunch. Not tuning in to Vandy game. I’ll wait for twenty days for baseball.

When power fails someone nearby just drives a tractor over and pumps the tanks full of water every day or two.We were out a little over a week. My grandmother in Clarksdale was without power for a month.
