This presser gives me more hope than anything else I’ve seen or read, which is kind of crazy. But it is just so clear that he refuses to deny it, you have to be believe it’s serious. Still could be a power play to get the AD out, but idk…

He is either coming to UNC, or is playing the hardest hardball you can possibly play with Arizona admin to get them to probably double his salary and buyout.

He absolutely could still be playing the leverage game. However, we don’t know what kind of terms Arizona could agree to that would match ours.

That’s about as good of a “I’m not going to answer your question” as you can answer.

I love how some of yall cling to any and every thing. It’s fantastic. I just can’t get wrapped up, good or bad, with any statement or tidbit of info. You can take most of it with a grain of salt right now.

It isn’t at all clear Zona could do that while also raising enough NiL to stay near the top even if they wanted to. The whole athletic department has been in cost saving mode for over two years. Even if they made such a commitment to TL, they might run the risk of having to cut into the muscle of other programs to keep their word. i’m not saying that he won’t stay at Arizona, but I think it would make for some imbalance with the other programs that are using old computers and saving paper clips. Tough to run an athletic department with that kind of atmosphere.
