They have spent the entire season telling us Oklahoma was not going to make it.
It was the schedule.
Venables on the hot seat.
The offense isn’t good enough.
Oklahoma isn’t ready for this stage.
That this stage belongs to someone else.
GOOD!
Because in less than 10 hours, excuses die and resolve takes over.
This program may not win pretty, but it wins. It wins with grit and grime. The offense may look rough at times, but it does enough. And when the dust settles, there is only one team entering the playoffs with wins over five AP Top 25 teams.
The team doubted by everyone.
Not long ago, I made two videos for moments exactly like this:
Hard to Kill and The Palace on the Prairie.
They are not background music. They are 4th-quarter songs. They are meant to carry the passion when legs are tired, when doubt creeps in from the outside, and when somebody has to break first.
And it won’t be Oklahoma.
Boomer.
@Dannnn I know I am not a hype guy like you are. It's almost time!

I’m oscillating between hope and doom. Everything is on the line tomorrow. We need to get it done.

Losses, bad games, great wins, etc are all part of the sport. Maybe it is just a byproduct of playing and coaching as long as I did. In a lot of ways, OU exposed them. Everyone talked about how they essentially blew the first game and they were the better team, more talented, etc. Plus half those fans already hate Deboer, which is crazy IMO, I think he is a great coach. But I think its all on Bama right now, and their chests are heavyNo matter the outcome, this year as exceeded most everyone's expectations, even with the imperfections. This is for a certain kind of sicko alumnus or alumna that is between the ages of 31-36 and gets hype via obscure callbacks to millennial cringe from our youth:
