He’s put together back to back elite teams. They no doubt can cut down the nets again this year if they keep playing like they have been.

He’s an unusual cat but a heck of a coach and has had an unusual timeline in his time as a coach. It’s crazy he was only a head coach for two years at San Francisco before Florida hired him. And just based on his record he didn’t exactly set the world on fire at San Francisco. His team lost at least 10 games all three seasons. He had a losing record in his first season at Florida and then dealt with the allegations and scandal stuff that would get a lot of coaches fired. He lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in his second season as UF coach and won the national championship in his third and appears to be a legit contender to repeat. He was hired by Pearl as Director of Basketball Operations at Auburn after playing for Pearl in the 2009 Maccabia Games.

I think this entire thing goes back to Kentucky buying Aberdeen off of his roster last year

Florida is the traditional powerhouse when it comes to a-hole coaches. But the new money upstart is LSU- Kiffin, Mulkey, Jay Johnston, and rumor is they'll make a move to rehire Will Wade this offseason. That's a tough lineup to beat.
