Sorsby is going to play and this guy is probably not very good. He has no official stats and was moved to WR. He is from Texas though.
But it does open up the question of are there any QBs anywhere in the country also on the track team? Just in case Sorsby doesnt play and Hammond isnt good to go week 1.

I dont know what the rule is that allows it since I had always assumed if you were on the football team and had a scholarship your scholarship counted against footballs total regardless if you were on a different sports team or not.I'd assume they have rules in place to prevent someone circumventing any transfer windows by going through a different sport. couldn't hurt to have an extra option at qb... especially one with that kind of speed. I wouldnt be mad if we took him

We have a damn good track program and we’re an easy SWA flight to his home town. It would make sense on many levels for him to think Texas Tech.
Oh, and btw.. We have question marks at QB.. I could see Leftwich designing a special package for a QB with that skill set

If you play two sports and on schollie, it HAS to count for football numbers. Guess he could just walk on to both. With NIL, who needs a scholarship?

Don't think there's any way you could play him next year without your coach being penalized half the year.

The NCAA’s month-long track and field portal window opened Thursday and will close on June 26." Track portal is open.I don't think tampering has anything to do with it. It's just about brining in a transfer outside of the window.
