Why would we bring Coach Davis back

Why would we bring Coach Davis back? Not looking for emotional reasons or because he is family. The only question that matters is can we hire a head coach that is much better. If the answer is yes that is all that matters. Whether he “deserves” another season isn’t the question. Sick of slipping to mediocrity. I realized tonight how bad it must be to be a life long Clemson basketball fan We are heading towards mediocrity.

If he was an outsider he would’ve been fired already.

I don’t think he retains his job. I’m just being honest.. if UNC loses next weekend I think he’s fired. No matter the injuries or recruits coming in. It’s time to move into a new direction

No other blue blood would put up with this bullshit. He whined About money he got a lot of it and a gm and still constructed a pretty terrible roster. He sucks point blank

Because it would make former players and coaches sad if we fired him.

They’d almost certainly be able to hire a better basketball coach. Hubert’s recruited well on paper, but roster construction issues have absolutely hamstrung the last two years. Any new coach would need to be a good recruiter (or have one on staff) and just show reverence / pay homage to the program. Act and talk like it’s special.

Seriously please name a top 25 team that has fired their head coach with a record similar to what Hubert has. I would really like some examples. Now if the coach stepped down and they were under the age of 60 and didn’t have a scandal you can include them as well.

Dunno. No one at IC likes the obvious. That’s probably why it was deleted. Joey still out there playing word games, and Rell defending Evans. Typical.

We probably wouldn’t be a top-25 team when we fired Hubert, just saying….

We aren’t just a top 25 team. We are UNC. We are a top 10 program. A regular 1 or 2 seed. Not this garbage of the past 6 7 years.

Good. They need to hurt some feelings. Every single coach needs to be fired. Ruffle some feathers and get this entitled, holier than thou Carolina country club atmosphere out of here

Wrong comparison group imo. We're not some random program that is happy to get a 7th seed in the NCAA tournament. We're a blue blood. And every other blue blood would fire HD for a record like his over 5 years.

He’s the James Franklin of college basketball… we will always be “ok” under HD. Mediocrity is our future with him

We’re not a top 25 program. We are a top 5 program all time. If Hubert was anyone else he would have been fired by now.

Evans should be turned into the local authorities for theft because he is stealing whatever NIL check he cashed

I just don’t see him being let go with Caleb out, whether you agree with that or not. I do think his seat will be hot as hades if we lose next week in 1st round.

The only reasons have nothing to do with on court performance, roster construction, not outlook for next years team. Sad
