Why would we bring Coach Davis back?
Not looking for emotional reasons or because he is family. The only question that matters is can we hire a head coach that is much better. If the answer is yes that is all that matters. Whether he “deserves” another season isn’t the question. Sick of slipping to mediocrity. I realized tonight how bad it must be to be a life long Clemson basketball fan We are heading towards mediocrity.

If he was an outsider he would’ve been fired already.

I don’t think he retains his job. I’m just being honest.. if UNC loses next weekend I think he’s fired. No matter the injuries or recruits coming in. It’s time to move into a new direction

No other blue blood would put up with this bullshit. He whined
About money he got a lot of it and a gm and still constructed a pretty terrible roster. He sucks point blank

Because it would make former players and coaches sad if we fired him.

They’d almost certainly be able to hire a better basketball coach. Hubert’s recruited well on paper, but roster construction issues have absolutely hamstrung the last two years.
Any new coach would need to be a good recruiter (or have one on staff) and just show reverence / pay homage to the program. Act and talk like it’s special.

Seriously please name a top 25 team that has fired their head coach with a record similar to what Hubert has.
I would really like some examples.
Now if the coach stepped down and they were under the age of 60 and didn’t have a scandal you can include them as well.

I just don’t see him being let go with Caleb out, whether you agree with that or not.
I do think his seat will be hot as hades if we lose next week in 1st round.

The only reasons have nothing to do with on court performance, roster construction, not outlook for next years team. Sad
