2022 preseason Doak Walker Award watch list revealed

It’s officially watch list season. The Doak Walker Award released its list of running backs in the mix early for the best in the country in 2022 on Wednesday. The Maxwell Award and Davey O’Brien Award released their lists on Monday and Tuesday.

The watch list for the Doak Walker includes more than 60 of the nation’s leading running backs. Las Vegas’ odds leaders for the 2022 Heisman like Texas’ Bijan Robinson, Wisconsin’s Braelon Allen and Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson made the list.

Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III won the Doak Walker Award in 2021. He had a 1,600+ yard season before going in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft to the Seattle Seahawks.
