Class of 2028 quarterback Noah Patton on Wednesday afternoon announced that he’ll be leaving IMG Academy (Fla.) for his next high school destination.

Patton made an announcement on X, formerly via Twitter, that the signal caller will be transferring to Venice (Fla.) for his junior campaign. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback last season was the backup signal caller for the Ascenders’ national team.

The past year has taught me a lot — about who I am, what I’m capable of, and what it really takes to keep chasing my goals. There have been highs, lows, and everything in between, but through it all, I’ve grown stronger and more focused on becoming the best version of myself on and off the field.I’m thankful for everyone who’s been part of this process – my coaches for demanding my best, my teachers for keeping me focused in the classroom, and my family for being my foundation through it all. After thoughtful consideration, I’m proud to announce thatI’ll be finishing my high school career at Venice High School

Last season for the Ascenders, Patton completed 9 of 11 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. Among the collegiate offers on the table for Patton are Arizona State, Arkansas, Georgia State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Purdue, Southern Miss, Syracuse and Toledo.

Venice is slated to return multiple key offensive pieces to the roster, including 2028 four-star wide receiver Tyree Mannings and 2027 running back Dorien Jones. Mannings hauled in 84 catches for 1,429 yards, 12 touchdowns and Jones carried the rock 127 times for 1,040 yards and 15 scores.

The Indians ended this past season finishing at No. 23 in the final 2025 Florida high school football rankings.
