Boise State 4-star QB commit Bryson Beaver decommits after Oregon offer

Murrieta (Calif.) four-star quarterback Bryson Beaver has decommitted from Boise State, he announced on Twitter.

He had been committed to the Broncos since April 19, when he chose them over Northern Arizona, San Jose State, Florida Atlantic, and a handful of other programs. Beaver’s decision comes on the heels of an offer from Oregon on Wednesday as the Ducks ramp up their pursuit of him.

“Earlier this week, after speaking with Coach Danielson, I made the decision to decommit from Boise State and reopen my recruiting process,” he wrote. “This decision was a tremendously difficult one, because of how good the Boise State family has been to us.  My family and I have nothing but gratitude for the kindness that has been shown to us by the Boise State coaching staff and “Bronco Nation” as a whole.  I wish the Boise State family nothing but the best in the future.”

On3 currently ranks Beaver as the nation’s No. 19 quarterback and a four-star prospect. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he is the country’s No. 852 prospect and No. 55 quarterback.

The Ducks watched him throw on Wednesday evening and offered him on the spot as they look for one — or potentially two — quarterbacks in the 2026 class.

“I threw for Oregon tonight and they offered,” Beaver told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “I’m super stoked.”

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder is coming off a junior season where he completed over 66 percent of his passes for 3,214 yards and 33 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He added 411 yards rushing and six more scores.

Next week, he is set to compete with some of the nation’s top signal-callers in the upcoming Elite 11 Finals.
