While a lot of people might have already been looking forward to Week 13, the final week of the college football regular season, Week 12 took place this weekend and it delivered with a plethora of upsets and surprising results. After all of Week 12’s action, the USA Today AFCA Coaches Poll Top 25 has been updated.

AP-ranked teams went 17-7 over the weekend, with five of those seven losses coming against unranked opponents. South Carolina‘s monster 63-38 victory over No. 5 Tennessee was the biggest surprise, but far from the only. No. 13 North Carolina lost 21-17 against Georgia Tech, No. 14 Ole Miss fell 42-27 against Arkansas, No. 17 UCF lost 17-14 against Navy, and No. 24 Oklahoma State dropped the Bedlam game against Oklahoma, 28-13.

Additionally, there were two matchups between two AP-ranked teams on Saturday. No. 7 USC and No. 16 UCLA battled in a high scoring contest that went back-and-forth throughout. Ultimately, the Trojans prevailed with a 48-45 victory. No. 10 Utah and No. 12 Oregon also battled in a tight late-night matchup, and it was the Ducks that came away with the 20-17 victory.

In addition to the upsets, the top four struggled on Saturday. Top-ranked Georgia won 16-6 against Kentucky, but that game was closer than anybody anticipated it to be. No. 2 Ohio State also played in a tight game against Maryland, but the Buckeyes eventually separated and won 43-30. No. 3 Michigan needed a late game-winning scoring drive in the final seconds against Illinois, and Jake Moody delivered on a last-second field goal. No. 4 TCU needed a last second field goal as well vs. Baylor, and they got one in the form of a fire drill kick from Griffin Kell.
