Diego Pavia rocks sand suit, turtleneck combo with multiple chains for Heisman Trophy ceremony
The fits are being unveiled for tonight’s Heisman Trophy ceremony. And right in line with expectations, Vanderbilt star Diego Pavia has quite the look.
The quarterback donned a black turtleneck with a pair of chains layered over the top. His jacket? A smooth sand colored piece with a Vanderbilt ‘V’ logo on the right lapel.
You can check out the full fit below. It’s quite the look.
Diego Pavia is, of course, vying for the Heisman Trophy tonight after an excellent season. He helped the team to a 10-2 record and guided the Commodores to the cusp of College Football Playoff contention.
There were some monster games in there for the veteran quarterback. He finished the season with 3,192 yards passing and 27 touchdowns, against eight interceptions. He was also a threat running, rushing for 826 yards and nine scores on the season.
Pavia had some Heisman Trophy type moments, to be sure. He had a 484-yard, five-touchdown passing performance against Kentucky in the penultimate game of the regular season. He also added a rushing touchdown, accounting for six total scores.
Deigo Pavia also threw for five touchdowns in a game against Utah State. He scored at least one rushing touchdown in each of his last six games.
So what’s next for the talented quarterback after the Heisman Trophy ceremony? Well, potentially the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Eve against Iowa.

“God willing, I will be playing in the ReliaQuest Bowl,” Pavia revealed via SportsCenter on Saturday. “If it’s up to me, I’ll be playing.”
Despite having nothing left to prove in the college game as a Heisman finalist, it says a lot about Pavia that he wants to be out there for his teammates. He explained what’s going into his yearning to be on the field one more time for Vanderbilt.
“It gives scouts another chance for me to look at our performance against a very good Iowa defense,” Pavia said. “They’re very tough. They’re going to be really good, and they’re going to bring their A-game. So, I’m going to be super excited about that.
“And the second, it’ll be my last game with the guys. I have a lot of feelings and emotions about that. Those guys, they mean the world to me. I wouldn’t let them go to battle without me.”
