With Michigan hosting Rutgers this weekend, the list of top targets visiting Ann Abor isn’t long. But there are some quality names on the list, nonetheless.

After a visit to Penn State last weekend for the White Out game, coveted 2023 EDGE Nyckoles Harbor of Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll is slated to be in Ann Arbor this weekend.

The Wolverines do have some good connections with Harbor, as his mother is from the Detroit area and one of his track coaches graduated from Michigan. However, his sister is a Penn State alum.

Speaking of track, Harbor – a potential five-star prospect – will be looking hard at the school’s football and track programs. He is one of the best sprinters in the country. He ran a 10.38-second 100-meter time and a 21.36-second 200-meter time as a sophomore.

Getting him on campus early in the process is a big win for Michigan. The Wolverines are part of a top group that includes MarylandOklahomaOregon and Penn State.

QB Justyn Martin maybe visiting Michigan

The Wolverines are still trying to figure out the travel situation for On300 quarterback Justyn Martin. As of Thursday morning, the four-star quarterback did not have a plane ticket booked. But a visit was still a possibility.

The push by Michigan comes just days after Martin decommitted from the California Golden Bears.

Martin, the No. 223 player in the On300 and the 15th ranked quarterback in the country, originally pledged to the Bears on Jan. 18. That commitment came less than a month after Cal offered him a scholarship.

Ole Miss has been trending heavily with Martin. That’s especially true after he was blown away by his official visit to Oxford. The Rebels initially offered Martin a scholarship on June 4.

UCLA is also making a big push, along with Ole Miss. The Bruins offered Martin a scholarship on June 14. Martin will officially visit UCLA on Oct. 23. UCLA currently does not have a quarterback committed in the 2022 class.

Michigan director of player personnel Courtney Morgan is very tied in with Martin’s recruitment. He is helping the Wolverines a ton, but U-M will have to overcome UCLA and Ole Miss.

Other visitors for U-M

One quarterback that will for sure be on campus this weekend is Wolverines longtime commitment Jayden Denegal of Apple Valley, Calif. The consensus three-star committed to Michigan in late June.

Michigan is also hosting consensus three-star Hunstville (Ala.) Madison Prep linebacker Deuce Spurlock for an official visit on Saturday. Spurlock has become a top target for the Wolverines over the past few weeks, and there’s intel that he could commit to Michigan shortly after his visit to Ann Arbor.
