Elite DB Jaheim Singletary is back on the market
If you have been tracking Jaheim Singletary and we’re aware of his under-the-radar visits over the summer, then you knew there was a chance of this happening.
The 6-foot-1, 170 pound cornerback out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Robert E. Lee committed to Ohio State January 2 before backing off the pledge to the Buckeyes just over eight months later.
This is coming off a weekend at Miami. And this wasn’t the first time he visited the Hurricanes this summer. He has connected with Travaris Robinson, the defensive coordinator at Miami.
The Hurricanes are not the only schools he has visited though.
Florida had him on campus for an unofficial visit. The Gators were the childhood favorite, and before Ohio State came on strong late last fall, it looked like Singletary would commit to the Gators early in 2021.

But the school that looks to be the biggest competition for Miami is Georgia. The Bulldogs had Singletary on campus for an official visit in January and he is very close to analyst Will Muschamp. At the same time Singletary was getting close to Robinson, he was building a relationship with Muschamp. At the time, those two worked at South Carolina, and recruited Singletary hard very early in the process.
Singletary wants to focus on his season, but does that mean he will slow things down and let the season play out before making another decision or could he could ahead and commit at some time in August? We have heard both, so we will continue to dig into this developing story.
