ESPN draft expert reveals NFL comparison, best team fits for Kayshon Boutte
LSU Tigers wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has a ton of upside going into the NFL Draft. Unfortunately, he had multiple ankle surgeries ahead of a disappointing 2022 season from a production standpoint. Still, Boutte is a well-respected player who ESPN NFL Draft expert Matt Miller thinks compares well to Tyler Boyd of the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Boutte initially announced he would return to LSU for the 2023 season before changing his mind and opting into the upcoming draft class,” Miller wrote.
“His 6-foot, 205-pound frame and excellent agility are that of a potential WR2 in the pros, and when he was healthy later in the year, we saw flashes of his great burst and juice that had been missing early in the season. Boutte can push defenders onto their heels with his acceleration and suddenness unlike most bigger receivers.”
Matt Miller thinks three teams make a lot of sense for Boutte, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Green Bay Packers, and the Atlanta Falcons.

“But concerns about his injury and lack of production in 2022 have pushed him to the mid-Day 2 conversation as a prospect.”
Boutte has been invited to the NFL Combine and signed with agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Brian Kelly reacted to Kayshon Boutte going pro
LSU head coach Brian Kelly gave his reaction to Kayshon Boutte going pro, which was a surprise to some people given the season he had.
“I think he’s been going back and forth all year. You want to give your guys the best counsel and I think for him he needed to get all that information, and once he did he made the best decision for him,” Kelly said.
“We support him 100%. He’s ready. He’ll have a great career.”
