ESPN updates college football Top 25 power rankings after turbulent Week 2

Several big upsets rocked the college football world Saturday, resulting in plenty of movement as ESPN released its updated top 25 power rankings on Sunday.

Notre Dame and Texas A&M — ranked No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, in last week’s power rankings — suffered losses to Sun Belt schools Marshall and Appalachian State. The Fighting Irish, now 0-2 on the season, dropped all the way out of the rankings as a result. The Aggies are now at the bottom of the list at No. 25, while Appalachian State comes in three spots ahead of them at No. 22.

Baylor, ranked No. 8 last week, dropped to No. 17 following an overtime loss to BYU.

Clemson (No. 8), Kentucky (No. 9) and Miami (No. 10) moved into the top 10 as a result of the upsets. The Wildcats earned a big win against Florida on Saturday, while the Hurricanes and Tigers each took care of lower-level opponents.
