Florida State lands a commitment from in-state offensive lineman Jakobe Green

Niceville (Fla.) High offensive lineman Jakobe Green tells On3 he has committed to Florida State.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Green becomes commit No. 18 for head coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles in the 2026 class.
“Growing up in Quincy, Florida you always dream of being a Nole!” Green stated. “And that dream has come true!
“During the OV Coach Norvell, Coach (Herb) Hand and Coach (Gus) Malzhan made me feel 1,000 percent confident in the plan that they have for me for me, and how they plan on using me, and the direction that the program is headed.”

Florida State offered Green in May. He took an official during the summer and backed off his commitment to Mississippi State on Monday.
Now he’s in the fold for the Seminoles.
“I’ve had a relationship with Coach Norvell since the eighth grade and created a relationship with Coach Hand and Coach Malzhan while they were at UCF. So the connection has always been there. They have always expressed a love for me and the way I play the game that has never changed!”
Green adds to a Florida State recruiting class that previously ranked No. 13 nationally.
