As news of his daughter dating Whit Weeks made rounds on social media, Lane Kiffin took to X and made a proclamation. “Take the over,” he said on Monday. Well, after Ole Miss took down LSU on Saturday afternoon, Kiffin now wants to talk with Weeks

“I’m looking for Whit right now to see if we covered the over,” Kiffin said postgame with ESPN’s Molly McGrath.

Unfortunately, Kiffin did not get his wish. Ole Miss beat LSU 24-19, bringing the game’s total to 43 points. Not close to the number BetMGM offered leading into the game. However, you have to imagine Kiffin is still happy with his offense’s performance throughout.

No play bigger than Rebels quarterback Trinidad Chambliss connecting with Dae’Quan Wright on 4th and 3. The first down put the game to bed, only requiring three kneel-downs from Ole Miss. Vaught Hemingway Stadium went bananas after Kiffin decided to trust his guys.

“Trinidad made up for going out of bounds,” Kiffin said. “We believe in our players, we go for it on fourth down a lot. Glad they made plays.”

Chambliss might go down as player of the game in Oxford, throwing for 314 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. His feet were a big asset too — even if Kiffin got mad at his quarterback for going out of bounds there. His 14 carries resulted in 71 yards.

Weeks put up a soid performance of his own, finishing with 10 tackles and a tackle for a loss. However, it seems as if he might be on the receiving end of some trash-talking from Kiffin in the near future.

Sister of Whit Weeks supposedly not happy with Landry Kiffin

The biggest couple in the college football world is currently LSU linebacker Whit Weeks and the daughter of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, Landry. An Instagram post set social media ablaze before Saturday’s game, announcing their relationship to the world. But one thing has been made certain — Landry Kiffin is cheering for her father to win.

Well, not everybody in the Weeks family took that news well. ESPN’s Sean McDonough shared a hilarious anecdote about Weeks’ younger sister, Kate, being upset with Kiffin over her rooting interests. In her mind, the boyfriend (and LSU) should win out.

“Whit told us his 12-year-old sister, the youngest of the four children in the family, is very upset that Landry is not cheering for Whit, her boyfriend,” McDonough said during the first quarter. “It’s blood you’re talking about, Landry and her Dad.”

Unfortunately, Kate Weeks did not get her wish. Landry Kiffin is the one who gets to brag in the relationship for a long, long time now.
