Oklahoma fans taunt Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin with Gator chomp amid Florida rumors

Oklahoma fans already taunted Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin during Saturday’s game. They started mocking the “Gator Chomp,” done by Florida fans, towards Kiffin.
The latest coaching carousel rumors feature Kiffin at the top of Florida’s list and he reportedly planned to address rumors with his team. We’ll see how that affects the team the rest of the season.
The video can be seen below. The Sooner student section wasted no time going after the opposing coach Saturday afternoon.
ESPN’s Molly McGrath reported Kiffin would address all things Florida, to this point, with his Ole Miss squad. What he said was behind closed doors.

“Lane Kiffin told me he usually doesn’t address those kind of coaching rumors in-season, because there’s so much more football to play, and there’s so many bigger things to focus on. But he’s actually going to do things differently today in their team meeting – he is going to address those (Florida) rumors with his players,” McGrath said Friday afternoon during a 2 pm ET hit on ESPN‘s SportsCenter.

“He’s going to talk to them about it and say: ‘Hey, this is what happens when you win. This is a compliment to our players, our staff and our entire program.’ He wants to talk to his players about it because there’s so many new guys on their team this year that haven’t dealt with it before.”
Former Ole Miss offensive line Bradley Sowell didn’t see the team getting distracted though. He revealed his feelings on the situation to OM Spirit.
“I don’t think it’s distracting this year like it was [in 2022],” Sowell said. “Those years, I think Ole Miss fans thought he was looking to go. He wasn’t quite the person that he is today. Now? I don’t think it’s a distraction at all. I don’t think anybody thinks he’s going or realistically thinks he’s leaving — players, anybody. It would be a huge shock to see him go.”
