This weekend might have been time for clocks to “fall back”. But as we enter the final third of the college football season, fans will collectively continue to “hunch forward” with hungry eyes in anticipation of how the final stanza of the regular season will shape the playoff race.

And though the list of contenders keeps dwindling like the temperature outside, the number of special talents worthy of shine seemingly keeps growing each passing week.

And with that in mind, let’s focus on some of the most notable glow-ups from the last few days within our On3 Impact Rankings!

Impact Riser of the Week: EDGE Taylor Wein, Oklahoma

Previous Rank: EDGE 41, Outside Top300
Current Rank: EDGE 22, Player No. 163

Against Dark Mode Tennessee TM, R Mason Thomas‘ beastly scoop-and-score was an all-timer. And, Tate Sandell’s shorty shorts went viral as he kept kicking bombs. But, Taylor Wein improved his stock more than anyone else, thanks to another weekend of consistently taking care of business in the trenches.

Saturday, he was part of an effort that limited the Vols to 63 yards across 35 carries. It was also Wein’s six-straight game of logging multiple stops. And, his 14 since Week 6 are tied for the 9th-most at the position. Plus, he has recorded at least 3 pressures in all but one of Oklahoma’s conference tilts.

Though he is riding a bit of a sack drought, his reliability whipping the man across from him insists he’s a legit force here to stay. The Sooner’s 16.3% Pass Rush Win Rate sits just outside the top25 among Power4 edges. The 6’5, 276 lb sophomore simply looks the part, both on and off the field.

The offense has it’s issues; but he and the rest of Brent Venables’ defense still have the Sooners in the playoff hunt for at least another weekend.

No. 2: CB Devin Moore, Florida

Previous Rank: CB 45, Outside Top300
Current Rank: CB 29, Player No. 263

The former top-100 prospect in the 2022 class continues to have a career year. Devin Moore has only surrendered a single explosive completion so far this season. Moreover, his yards per coverage snap (0.48), Ball Hawk Rate (25.0%), and PFF Coverage Grade (84.2) all sit inside the 76th-percentile among college corners. The latter two metrics are top20 marks exiting this weekend. And in the most heated game on Florida’s schedule, Moore nabbed a takeaway that led to points and Florida briefly holding a lead.

Depending on your colors, his pick was a product of pure luck or a prime example of hard work meeting opportunity. Still, the coverageman’s steady stinginess merits a spot inside our Impact Rankings Top300.

No. 3: RB Jordan Marshall, Michigan

Previous Rank: RB 31, Outside Top300
Current Rank: RB 19, Player No. 231

No Justice Haynes? No problem. Michigan’s RB2 performed masterfully stepping into the lead role against Purdue. In addition to being responsible for all 3 of the Wolverines’ scores, Jordan Marshall recorded his third-straight 100-yard showing and second-straight game with a 50-yard breakaway run. His 185 on the ground was a career-high. Nearly 69% of that output came after contact. And for good measure, Marshall tacked on a 25 yard reception.

No. 4: RB King Miller, USC

Previous Rank: RB 84, Outside Top300
Current Rank: RB 50, Outside Top300

King Miller was another backup ball carrier that maximized his chances over the weekend. As the Trojans’ most efficient offensive player, the former walk-on ran all over the Cornhuskers as USC slipped past Nebraska 21-17. His 5 explosives — or runs of at least 10 yards — were the most of any P4 back. And behind those chunk gains, Miller totaled more than 100 yards and a TD for the second time in three weeks.

The redshirt freshman has the clear hot hand for Lincoln Riley’s offense ahead of Week 11. And it definitely doesn’t hurt his case that he’s the only rusher with at least 40 carries to rank inside the nation’s top5 in both Yards/Carry (7.8) and yards after contact average (5.2). No question. It’s MILLER TIME.

No. 5: WR Ryan Davis, Utah

Previous Rank: WR 51, Outside Top300
Current Rank: WR 35, Outside Top300

In line for the Thomas Callahan III Award, seventh-year senior Ryan Davis had one of the best games in his career versus Cincinnati. He caught 8-of-9 targets for 132 yards for 4 conversions and a TD. His early score got the Utes in a groove as they boat-raced the Bearcats back to the Buckeye State with little trouble.

Davis’ magnificent mitts have hauled in the 10th-most catches for the 25th-most yards, which has parlayed into a top20 yards per route run (2.78) and top25 Catch Rate (78.9%) among P4 WRs. The sure-handed vet has only dropped a single pass this fall.

No. 6: iOL Febechi Nwaiwu, Oklahoma

Previous Rank: iOL 36, Outside Top300
Current Rank: iOL 24, Outside No. 272

Oklahoma’s offense might be flawed, but the Sooners OL can sure as hell pass block. PFF grades them as the 17th-best P4 unit in that context. Pretty solid considering the known shuffling up front. But all year long, right guard Febechi Nwaiwu has been the clear standard bearer in this department and one of the best blockers in the SEC.

Coming off his fifth-straight contest disallowing a hurry, his 0.6% Pressure Rate Allowed is the 6th-best mark among interior linemen with at least 200 pass sets. Nwaiwu’s prowess maintaining pristine pockets is further reflected by his outstanding 91.7 pass block grade, which holds the position group’s bronze medal.

No. 7: WR Anthony Evans III, Mississippi State

Previous Rank: WR 78, Outside Top300
Current Rank: WR 58, Outside Top300

Jeff Lebby and Co. finally notched a conference win. And, Mississippi State’s feisty slot was a big reason why. Anthony Evans III topped triple-digit receiving yards for the third time this season — the second in the last three games. But more importantly, he was on the receiving end of a couple of scores, including the tuddy that put the Bulldogs up for good with under a minute to play.

Since Week8, only 9 P4 WRs have fielded more targets than Evans’ 28. On the year, the Georgia-transfer has racked up 52 receptions — good for 2nd-most in the SEC. And his recent production has boosted him inside the conference’s top7 in yards, joining teammate Brenen Thompson.

No. 8: iOL McKenzie Agnello, Houston

Previous Rank: iOL 64, Outside Top300
Current Rank: iOL 44, Outside Top300

McKenzie Agnello and his cohorts might have been upended by West Virginia. But, he keeps playing solid football and proving he belongs. Leveling up from formerly Texas A&M Commerce (now East Texas A&M) to New Mexico to Houston in subsequent seasons, the transfer portal gem just had his fifth-straight conference contest without a pressure allowed. He was flagged for the first time this year. Still, Agnello’s 99.1% Clean Set Rate is among the top12 among interior OLinemen.

Blue Chip Shoutout: WR Carnell Tate, Ohio State

Previous Rank: WR 5, Player No. 15
Current Rank: WR 5, Player No. 12

Though there’s still a lot of football left in 2025, Carnell Tate arguably locked up his first-round grade ahead of April’s NFL Draft with another flawless performance. In Ohio State 38-14 stomping of Penn State, the Impact 5-Star caught all 5 of his targets for 124 yards and a score — his 7th on the season.

Long, fluid, and productive, his resume has been rocksteady all season long. Few pass catchers have exhibited better bang-for-buck. Only a handful of P4 WRs boast better First Down+TD Rates than his 56.3% clip. Outside of FSU’s Duce Robinson and Tennessee’s Chris Brazzell, no one has more deep receiving yards in the major leagues. Plus, Tate’s 3.52 yards per route run — the ultimate stat for receiving efficiency — dons the silver medal.
