The calendar will flip to September this weekend, subsequently kicking football season into full gear. With both high school and college games underway, many of the top prospects in the country have already announced their commitments.

Of the top 100 recruits in the 2024 cycle — according to the On3 Industry Ranking — just 15 remain uncommitted. Here’s who’s left on the board, as well as which programs are in the lead for their respective recruitments, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Five-Star Plus+ WR Micah Hudson

School: Temple (Texas) Lake Belton
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 7
On3 RPMTexas Tech 81.7%, Texas 14.7%
The Skinny: Micah Hudson‘s commitment to Texas Tech has felt imminent for some time now, but the No. 2 wide receiver in the cycle is yet to pull the trigger. He took an official visit to Lubbock in June and then canceled an official scheduled with the Longhorns. Texas A&M and Oklahoma have also received multiple unofficial visits from the wideout during his recruitment.

5-star ATH Terry Bussey

School: Timpson (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 19
On3 RPMTexas A&M 94.9%, Texas 1.5%
The Skinny: Terry Bussey‘s commitment date is finally set, as the No. 2 athlete in the cycle will announce his decision on Sept. 28, choosing between LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas and Alabama. The Aggies are the heavy favorite, though September visits are in the works, per On3’s Sam Spiegelman“If there is a team poised to give Texas A&M some run it might just be LSU,” Spiegelman wrote.

5-star DL Dominick McKinley

School: Lafayette (La.) Acadania
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 22
On3 RPMTexas 59.5%, LSU 17.0%
The Skinny: Dominick McKinley is set to announce on Sept. 1, as Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State and Oklahoma battle to pull him out of state from LSU. The tea leaves are harder to read for McKinley than some of the other top defensive linemen in this cycle, though the Longhorns have the RPM edge at the end of August.

5-star OT Brandon Baker

School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 23
On3 RPMOregon 52.5%, Texas 23.8%
The Skinny: Brandon Baker, the No. 1 OT in the 2024 cycle, has been linked to Oregon, Texas, Ohio State and Nebraska, among others. The Longhorns continue to gain steam as a top option for Baker. Oregon has welcomed him for six visits while the Buckeyes remain a prevalent player as well. Keep an eye on the Huskers though, who are set to host him for an official visit in mid-September.

5-star CB Kobe Black

School: Waco (Texas) Connally
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 24
On3 RPMTexas 93%, Texas A&M 1.7%
The Skinny: Kobe Black named a top five of Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Ohio State and Oregon on Aug. 9. It appears to be the Longhorns’ recruitment to lose, though he has official visits upcoming with LSU and A&M. He is the No. 3 CB and No. 6 player from Texas in the cycle.

5-star WR Ryan Wingo

School: Saint Louis (Mo.) University
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 25
On3 RPMMissouri 46.6%, Texas 25.9%, Tennessee 16.5%
The Skinny: While a date isn’t official for Ryan Wingo, he plans to commit on Dec. 20, the first day of the NCAA Early National Signing period. He’s taken multiple visits to 10 different programs, though Missouri, Texas and Tennessee appear to be the frontrunners. He currently has an official visit set in September with Miami.

5-star DL Aydin Breland

School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 26
On3 RPMOregon 23.9%, Georgia 20.9%, Miami 15.0%, Texas A&M 10.0%
The Skinny: Aydin Breland‘s recruitment is still considered wide open after naming his top 10 schools of Oregon, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, USC, Michigan, Texas A&M, Nebraska, LSU and Tennessee back in May. But according to On3’s Chad Simmons, the most buzz right now is around Texas A&M and Oregon for elite defensive lineman.

“I am getting really close,” Breland told On3. “I am working to cut my list down one more time, then locking in a commitment date. I don’t have any visits planned before I make my decision and I can say it is coming soon. It should happen early in the season.”

4-star OT Jordan Seaton

School: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 41
On3 RPM: Ohio State 64.3%, Florida 12.2%
The Skinny: Jordan Seaton will take a heap of visits this fall, heading to the likes of Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma and LSU. The Buckeyes have the RPM lead, but Seaton isn’t rushing into a decision, calling his process “pretty vanilla.”

4-star DL LJ McCray

School: Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 46
On3 RPM: Florida 37.0%, Georgia 25.2%, Florida State 15.5%, Miami 10.4%
The Skinny: LJ McCray has taken multiple visits to Florida, FSU, Georgia and Auburn. The Gators are the closest to home and figure to be one of, if not the frontrunner. Georgia also continues to trend as a top option for the high-end four-star.

4-star OT Guerby Lambert

School: West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 53
On3 RPM: Notre Dame 96.8, Boston College 1.1%
The Skinny: Guerby Lambert has trended toward a commitment to Notre Dame for some time now, with Boston College being the Fighting Irish’s top contender. Lambert took an official visit to South Bend in June, with many expecting a decision to come in the near future.

4-star LB Chris Cole

School: Salem (Va.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 54
On3 RPM: Georgia 85.2%, Virginia Tech 4.9%
The Skinny: Chris Cole will announce on Sept. 10, with Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs viewed as the frontrunner. He is set to take visits to USC and Tennessee before his decision, with the Volunteers viewed as a potential threat to make a move at the final hour.

4-star IOL Grant Brix

School: Logan (Iowa) Magnolia
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 70
On3 RPM: Nebraska 71.5%, Kansas State 9.0%, Oklahoma 5.2%
The Skinny: Grant Brix is the top uncommitted IOL in the country and has kept things close to the vest, with a decision expected anytime now. Nebraska and Oklahoma are viewed as the top contenders and both had him on campus for official visits in June.

4-star safety Zay Mincey

School: Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 81
On3 RPM: Florida 65.5%, Miami 27.9%
The Skinny: The Gators and Hurricanes are at the top for Zay Mincey, who is planning to announce his commitment at the All-American Bowl on Jan. 6, but silently commit before then, according to Gators Online. Alabama and Florida State are also finalists for the No. 4 safety in the cycle.

4-star DL Ernest Willor

School: Baltimore Concordia Prep
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 96
On3 RPM: Penn State 29.4%, Maryland 13.5%, Rutgers 11.6%
The Skinny: Penn State still appears to be the favorite for Ernest Willor, who has had a quiet recruitment up to this point. He took an OV to Happy Valley in June. Much of the Big Ten have tried to enter the discussion for the top-ranked player in Maryland.

4-star DL Nigel Smith II

School: Melissa (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 100
On3 RPM: Oklahoma 84.7%, Texas A&M 3.4%
The Skinny: Nigel Smith is set to announce on Sept. 8, with Oklahoma and Texas A&M thought to be at the front of the pack. Smith took official visits to both programs, as well as Ohio State and Penn State in June. Texas, Georgia, Arkansas and Rutgers also made his top eight schools back in May.
