Oregon high school basketball player gets knocked out by cheerleader during introductions

An Oregon high school basketball player was unfortunately knocked out of a game before it even started on Friday morning.
Sam Barlow High School Bruins (OR) senior Sentori Martino was inadvertently kicked in the head by a cheerleader before his team’s matchup at the OSAA 6A Boys State Tournament. Due to the aftermath of the incident, Martino did not play in the game for the Bruins.
Check out video shared to X (formerly known as Twitter) by Chris Clayton of the Oregon Sports Network, showcasing the incident involving Martino.
“Crazy incident this morning before Barlow’s consolation matchup with Jesuit at the OSAA 6A boys state tournament. Bruins senior Sentori Martino inadvertently kicked by a cheerleader. Unfortunately, he did not play in the game,” Clayton posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Of course, the incident was accidental, but that certainly is unfortunate for both Martino and the cheerleader involved. That’s never what you want to see at a high school basketball game, especially one of importance.
Hopefully Sentori Martino is feeling better on Saturday, and he’s able to get back on the court as soon as possible. There may not be much cheerleading during introductions for the team’s next game though.
