LOOK: Peyton Manning makes unique fashion choice during Men's College World Series
Is it any surprise Peyton Manning showed up to the College World Series? It’s in Omaha, after all.
Manning’s Tennessee Volunteers might not be there, but he still took in Notre Dame vs. Texas on Friday. ESPN’s cameras caught him taking in the action — appropriately wearing an “Omaha” hat, likely a nod to his company, Omaha Productions.
Of course, Manning was known to use “Omaha” as a play call during his legendary NFL career. He used it as an audible call, notably when he was with the Denver Broncos. While in Denver, he helped the Broncos to a Super Bowl 50 title before hanging up his spikes at the end of the 2015 season.
Now, he’s getting into the broadcast game, co-hosting a “ManningCast” during Monday Night Football games with his brother, Eli Manning. Omaha Productions partners with ESPN to produce the show, and it will be a mainstay on the station for years to come across multiple sports.

What’s interesting is Manning was watching the Notre Dame game — the same Notre Dame team that upset his No. 1-seeded Volunteers in the Knoxville Super Regional. In fact, prior to that game, Tennessee coach Tony Vitello gave Manning a shoutout.
“I’m gonna go humble brag. I am just gonna throw it out there that the only reason I know we’re playing Notre Dame (next) is one text message and that was from Peyton Manning,” Vitello said. “I’m not going to say thank you for letting us know who we’re playing because I’d like to just enjoy the moment for a minute, but thank you for allowing me to brag to people that Peyton Manning sent my phone a text message.”
Manning will have his choice of games to attend this weekend, with two coming Saturday and two more coming up on Sunday as teams try to reach the championship series.
