Sebastian Wilkins, a four-star power forward in the 2026 class, has set his college commitment date. The 6-foot-8 prospect of Brewster Academy (NH) will announce his college decision on Friday, May 23rd at 4:00 PM ET between his final two schools: Duke and Maryland.

Wilkins, a Massachusetts native, has completed official visits to each of his finalists. He visited the Blue Devils earlier this month and the Terrapins in mid-April.

Buzz Williams and staff were previously recruiting Wilkins at Texas A&M and their pursuit carried over after making the move to College Park.

Along with Duke and Maryland, he also received offers from Virginia, Arizona State, West Virginia, Florida State, Seton Hall, Iowa, Boston College, Alabama, Providence, Rutgers, and others.

Wilkins is the No. 29 overall recruit in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 4 power forward prospect and the No. 1 player in New Hampshire. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Wilkins breaks down his game

In a previous interview with On3, Sebastian Wilkins discussed his game.

“I feel like I play with a lot of energy,” Wilkins told On3. “I’ve expanded my game to be able to shoot off the pick and pop and off the dribble a little bit. The shooting is how I’ve improved the most. I rebound hard, that is my game really, I’d say.”

Wilkins a standout at the Hoophall Classic

On3’s Jamie Shaw found Wilkins as a standout at the Hoophall Classic earlier this year:

Steady production, that is something that we have come to expect from Sebastian Wilkins. The 6-foot-7 forward moves with a purpose off the ball and he does a good job finding advantageous positions before getting involved in the play. Wilkins is a high-floor forward who plays with motor and strength, but more importantly, he does not attempt anything he cannot do.

Wilkins finished Sunday’s game with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. He was 9-13 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line.
