LOOK: SEC puts up hilarious billboards boasting College World Series success
With four of the remaining five teams in the College World Series from the SEC, the conference took time out of its day Tuesday to gloat. The SEC Twitter account posted a pair of photos of billboards put up in the Omaha area.
The first of the two billboards replaced the “O” in Omaha with the SEC logo, while the second used the league slogan “It just means more” but crossed out “more and replaced it with “four.” It also feature the logos of each of the remaining teams from the conference — Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
The SEC is now guaranteed to have at least one team in the College World Series final for the 13th time in the past 14 seasons. Of those 13 years the SEC has had a team in the final, it has won seven times. Three of those times it has been an all-SEC final.
Nine of the SEC’s 14 teams made an appearance in the NCAA Baseball Tournament, with Tennessee even earning the No. 1 overall seed. Despite this, the Volunteers are not among the eight College World Series teams after losing to Notre Dame in Super Regional play. The fact that the SEC still made up half the field without arguably its best team is a testament to the strength of the conference. That none of those teams were among the first three out only speaks more to that.

After eliminating Texas on Sunday, Texas A&M took the field first Tuesday afternoon for another elimination game against Notre Dame. The Aggies again avoided elimination with a 5-1 victory to send the Fighting Irish home and keep the hope of an all-SEC series final alive.
Auburn and Arkansas are set to face off in Tuesday’s second game at 7 p.m. ET. The loser will be the first team from the conference to suffer elimination, while the winner will move on to face Ole Miss on Wednesday. From there, either the Rebels or Tuesday’s winner will punch their ticket to the series final, set to begin on Saturday.
