Texas A&M went on a recruiting heater back in October following a big win over LSU in College Station. That weekend led to multiple major commitments.

Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory was one of the prospects to pledge to Mike Elko and the Aggies. He’s stayed locked in since, and on Saturday, he cemented his commitment.

In a post on X, Gregory announced that he has shut down his recruitment and plans to sign with A&M:

“I chose the right program that I see fits me and my playing style the best. Everyone thinks it’s about money. I have a real relationship with all the coaches. Coach Elko, Trooper, Wiggins, and the rest of the staff has had a relationship with me for some time now,” Gregory wrote. “I am committed to Texas A&M. The community, fans, and the team have welcomed me and my family with open arms. It’s time to help build this 2026 class and become a legend at Texas A&M.”

Gregory was scheduled to take an official visit to Texas next weekend. The Longhorns were pushing the hardest as of late, while the likes of Auburn and Florida State had previously been mentioned in his process, too.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder is the No. 72 overall prospect and No. 9 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 player in Georgia.

He’s the top-ranked member of A&M’s class that currently ranks No. 6 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Gregory’s high school teammate, four-star EDGE Jordan Carter, is also committed. Gregory is one of three receivers in the class, alongside Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star Madden Williams and Houston Legacy four-star Mike Brown.

Aaron Gregory Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this of Gregory as a prospect:

“Smooth receiver who has flashed encouraging fluidity along with exceptional ball skills early on as a high school prospect. Measured in at over 6-foot-2, 170 pounds with plus length for the position prior to his sophomore season. Tested as a good athlete at Under Armour’s Orlando camp. Played both ways as a freshman, working as a receiver and defensive back. Has arguably the best ball skills at this early stage in the 2026 cycle. An effortless catcher of the football, using strong technique to frame passes.

…Utilizes his plus length and coordination to come down with acrobatic grabs. Extends to pluck the ball at its highest point. Also makes diving catches. A fluid mover who should continue adding speed and strength as he develops physically. Was the On3 MVP at Under Armour’s Orlando camp. Played a lower level of competition as a freshman before transferring to a larger school and classification as a sophomore.”
