Top Performers: X-Factor Experience QB Camp

Over the weekend some of the top quarterbacks from around the Midwest were in the Indianapolis suburbs competing in the X-Factor Experience camp.
Participants were put through on-field drills and coaching and also got to get on the board in a classroom setting and show off their football IQ in that environment as well.
MVPs were handed out and On3 has the latest.
Overall MVP: Gage Sturgill
The Fishers (Ind.) High rising senior signal-caller only got to play five games as a junior before injury but was terrific when under center. He completed over 61 percent of his passes for 1,156 yards and 13 touchdowns to just two interceptions.
“I think Gage is special,” X-Factor QB Academy founder Anthony Morelli said. “I think he’s flying under the radar. The way he moves, he’s twitchy and quick and has a good arm, good feet and is a fiery competitor.”
2. Oscar Frye
The state championship passer out of Brownsburg (Ind.) High completed over 64 percent of his throws for 2,445 yards and 23 touchdowns as a sophomore in helping his team go undefeated and win a state title in the largest class.
“He’s a winner,” Morelli said. “He proved that last year. Very intelligent. Smart with the football. Very accurate. He’s a proven winner and leader.”
Frye has early offers from Toledo and Miami (Ohio). Iowa, Louisville, Cincinnati, Duke, Bowling Green, Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, Wisconsin and Appalachian State are all places he plans to camp.
3. Oscar Sloan
Purdue, Maryland, Toldo, Miami (Ohio), Appalachian State and Georgia State have already offered the Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove 2028 quarterback.
“Sky is the limit,” Morelli said. “He has the size (6-3, 190), the arm strength, throws the ball and makes it look effortless. Just have to wait and see what he does this year. He could be a national recruit and a guy that could be a program changer if he does the things people expect him to do.”
4. Bo Polston
Committed to Toledo, the Indianapolis (Ind.) Decatur Central signal-caller was the state player of the year in the second-largest class after leading his team to a title. He completed 63 percent of his attempts for 2,069 yards and 21 touchdowns with five more rushing scores.
Georgia Tech is showing interest this summer.
“Has a lot of potential,” Morelli said. “He runs the ball well and is a good football player. He can throw it. I feel like Bo is a true dual-threat quarterback.”

5. Quentin Klee
The Noblesville (Ind.) Guerin Catholic passer is making a name for himself heading into his senior season and won the 2026 MVP award at this camp.
“He’s just a blue-collar type guy,” Morelli said. “All about the work. Came in laser-focused and won the do or die accuracy challenge at the end. He went toe to toe with all the guys.”
6. Connor Moreland
Played the last two seasons at Indianapolis Speedway and will now play his senior season at Franklin Central.
“He works so hard,” Morelli said. “He throws the ball well, has a great feel in the pocket. He knows the mental side of the game as well as anybody.”
7. Michael Hill Jr.
Merrillville (Ind.) High’s 2027 quarterback looks like a promising rising junior.
“Stud athlete,” Morelli said. “He can throw it. Has a nice arm and good mechanics. Smooth. Obviously runs well. We have to see him play and get out there on the field and do his thing but he has potential.
8. Ty Griffey
The Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern up-and-comer won MVP for the 2029 class.
“There is a kid with a bright future,” Morelli said. “He shows flashes of being the next Danny (O’Neil) or Tayven (Jackson) or those kind of guys. He just gets it. Years ago when he walked in for the first time older guys were like that kid just gets it and he continues to prove that. He’s going to be something special.”
