Arizona State's Sam Leavitt, Jordyn Tyson ink NIL deals with adidas

One of the nation’s top quarterback-wide receiver duos is joining the Three Stripes. Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson have signed NIL deals with adidas.
Leavitt and Tyson both chose to run it back with the Sun Devils following a breakout season in Tempe. The program won the Big 12 in its debut season, and Tyson emerged as Leavitt’s top target. The two then announced their return, providing continuity for Kenny Dillingham and Co.

Leavitt threw for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns last season while Tyson totaled 1,101 receiving yards to go with 10 touchdowns. By signing with adidas, they can rep the brand in games since Arizona State is an adidas school.
Leavitt and Tyson are also among the most marketable names in college football this year. Leavitt has a $3.1 million On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks No. 9 in college football and No. 10 in the On3 NIL 100 – the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation. At $1 million, Tyson’s On3 NIL Valuation sits at No. 60 in college football.
Leavitt is generating some early Heisman Trophy buzz ahead of the 2025 season, which Arizona State will officially kick off Saturday against Northern Arizona. He also signed an NIL deal this week with Powerade as part of the company’s “It Takes More” campaign.

Adidas continues to invest in football
The additions of Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson come nearly two years after adidas made its first foray into the college football NIL space, signing former Washington stars – and future first-round picks – Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze. Now, the company’s NIL roster is expanding even more.
Adidas has been active in the NIL space this offseason, signing multiple college football stars to deals. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola are notably on board. The company also announced its latest group of high school signees, led by No. 1-ranked wide receiver recruit Tristen Keys.
Additionally, ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, adidas signed top prospects such as Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter as they get ready to start their professional careers. NFL stars such as Patrick Mahomes and Amon-Ra St. Brown also highlight the company’s investment in football.
