Call it the perfect NIL storm. Five-star Dante Moore – the On3 Consensus fourth-ranked quarterback – saw another significant increase in his On3 NIL Valuation on Tuesday to reach $707,000.

Moore’s On3 NIL Valuation grew by $40,000 after a whirlwind few weeks that saw him star at the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback camp, lock in a commitment date between Michigan, LSUTexas A&MFloridaOregon and Notre Dame, and eventually pick the Ducks on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

With the NIL value increase, Moore of Detroit Martin Luther King is now No. 4 in the On3 High School Football NIL Rankings and 27th overall in the On3 NIL 100.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The On3 NIL 100 is the first of its kind and the defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by market valuation.

One of the key factors in Dante Moore’s On3 NIL Valuation increase is his big boost in social media followers following his commitment to Oregon.

In the week leading up to and after his commitment last Friday, Moore saw an 8.3% increase in TikTok and Twitter followers. He also saw an increase of 7.6% with Instagram. Moore now has 46,000 followers overall.

Another factor in Moore’s NIL value increase is the overall strengthening in the market for quarterbacks. The top 20 quarterbacks in the On3 Consensus have an average On3 NIL Valuation of more than $455,000. This includes Tennessee commitment Nico Iamaleava, who reached the $1 million value mark.

Dante Moore is the face of Oregon’s class

As a top-10 player in the On3 Consensus, Dante Moore heads to Eugene as the ringleader in Oregon’s 2023 recruiting class. It’s a situation that’s ripe for massive NIL benefits.

He’ll be the star quarterback the second he steps on campus. Plus, he’ll be a recognizable name that’s instantly marketable to businesses looking for NIL deals. Plus, it won’t hurt that Moore heads to a school with one of the strongest collectives in college athletics.

Oregon’s Division Street collective was founded when Nike co-founder Phil Knight joined up with a group of alumni to help Duck student-athletes monetize their NIL brands.

The collection of top minds involved is unrivaled. Former Oregon star women’s basketball player Sabrina Ionescu is the chief athlete officer and senior advisor. Rosemary St. Clair, former VP/GM of Nike Women, is the CEO. Rudy Chapa, former VP of sports marketing at Nike, is the chairman of the board. Division Street also enlists a creative company led by former Nike and Jordan Brand executives.

“They are the model,” an NIL expert told On3. “They are built by the smartest sports marketers, so follow along. Everything they are doing is a lesson everyone can learn from.”

All of this means that Dante Moore – the future of Oregon football – will have massive NIL opportunities in Eugene. It also means his On3 NIL Valuation is surely going to increase even more in the future.

Moore said in no uncertain terms that NIL didn’t drive him to the Ducks, but he did mention after his commitment that he was “grateful for NIL.”
