This Week 11 matchup has been looked at as a pivotal one in Big 12 for a while now. Two of the most highly-rated programs in the conference will square off to see whether the Cougars can separate themselves from the Red Raiders in the standings.

BYU was on its bye during Week 10, and enter the matchup with an 8-0 record — the only undefeated team left in the Big 12. Texas Tech is coming off a road trip to Kansas State on Saturday.

The Red Raiders were ranked as high as No. 7 in the AP Poll this year after beginning the season 6-0. However, they lost to a tough Arizona State team 26-22 despite scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Saturday will be the third meeting all-time between the Cougars and Red Raiders. BYU won the last meeting 27-14 in 2023 — the first time the two programs played on the gridiron since 1940. Texas Tech won that matchup, and can take the edge in the all-time series with a win during Week 11.
