Ole Miss continues its push for the College Football Playoff heading into Week 12. The Rebels are 9-1 and are surging having won their last three game against Oklahoma, South Carolina and last week against The Citadel.
For the Gators, they played Kentucky last week on the road and will stay away from home this weekend against the Rebels. The road atmosphere won’t do Florida any favors, but they’re playing to help keep their hopes of bowl eligibility alive this season.
Florida is approaching one full month since firing former head coach Billy Napier after a 3-4 start to the season. Despite being ranked as high as No. 15 this season, the Gators lost three straight after the season opener.

That said, the Rebels will hope to take care of business against the Gators. A loss at home against a team with a sub .500 record would hurt their CFP chances in a major way. Now heading into the third week of November, there may not be enough time for the Rebels to redeem themselves in the eyes of the playoff committee.
