Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to practice on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday. Jamison Hensley of ESPN shared a video of Jackson running out on the field in his practice uniform with his teammates.

Jackson missed Wednesday’s practice due to knee soreness. He has already missed three games this year after suffering a hamstring injury in late September.

Lamar Jackson’s return to practice isn’t a big surprise since ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the two-time NFL MVP was set to return on Thursday. “Missed practice yesterday due to knee soreness, but he is expected to be back at practice today, according to the Ravens. And, my sources tell me the Ravens are going to be honest on the injury report after they were fined the last time for some of those injury report shenanigans,” Schefter said on Get Up. “And so, if they say he’s back at practice today, that means he’s going to be back at practice today, and that means he is on track to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, despite what prevented him from practicing yesterday.”

Jackson suffered knee soreness after leading the Ravens to a 27-19 victory over the Minnesota Vikings this past weekend. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Jackson “should be OK,” and he was looking forward to Thursday’s practice.

Can Lamar Jackson lead the Ravens to a division title?

A healthy Jackson is essential for the Ravens to bounce back from a slow start to the year. After going 1-5 in the first six games, Baltimore has won its last three games, and it trails the Pittsburgh Steelers by one game in the AFC North.

Ali Bhanpuri of NFL.com believes the Ravens will move past the Steelers and win the division. “Baltimore goes on a heater, including a sweep of the season series with the Steelers, to capture the AFC North crown,” Bhanpuri wrote. “The Steelers’ losing streak to the rival Ravens reaches four (including playoffs), as Pittsburgh suffers its first losing season under Mike Tomlin, relinquishes its hold on the AFC North and misses the postseason tournament.”

Jackson is looking to lead the Ravens to their fourth consecutive playoff appearance and third consecutive AFC North championship. He is also seeking the team’s first Super Bowl title since the 2012 season.
