Josh Conerly Jr. started out playing running back in middle school but blossomed into one of the top offensive line recruits in the country as he grew in size. Conerly Jr. said he owes a lot of his development to playing against former Five-Star Plus defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau in high school. “I take every opponent on like I am playing against J.T.,” Conerly told Recruiting News Guru. “It does not matter who is watching, who I am playing against, or when. For me, it does not matter the size of the person I am going against, you go your hardest no matter what.” Conerly also plays basketball for Rainier Beach. His parents are Joshua and Jamila.

Shows off his athleticism and initial quickness doubling as a defensive tackle, where he is a disruptor on that side of the ball. Frame has the ability to carry more than 300 pounds and is well proportioned. Needs to increase his functional play strength and continue improving lower body flexibility. Will also need to adjust to the speed of the game, particularly in pass protection, as he moves to the college level.
