2026 TE Damarcus Broughton decommits from USF
Semmes (Ala.) Mary G. Montgomery three-star tight end Damarcus Broughton tells Rivals’ Haydn Hollin that he has decommitted from USF.
Pledged to the Bulls since June 8, Broughton is the second decommitment of the day for USF following the departure of head coach Alex Golesh, who was hired by Auburn on Sunday morning.
Broughton is the No. 84 tight end and No. 51 recruit in Alabama in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,327 prospect overall.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder has already been on Auburn’s radar this fall. He visited The Plains in September and looks to be another prime candidate for the Tigers as Golesh will look to build on Auburn’s slim recruiting class with National Signing Day looming.
USF also lost a commitment from Moody (Ala.) three-star wide receiver Josiah Dozier earlier on Sunday. He is now trending to Auburn after a prediction via Rivals national insider Steve Wiltfong.

Bulls lose another commitment
With Dozier and Broughton now out of the class following the departure of Golesh, USF is down to 27 total commits in its 2026 class. It ranks No. 63 nationally, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Dorchester (S.C.) Woodland three-star EDGE Jaemin Pinckney is the top-ranked commit in the class, checking in as the No. 537 recruit and No. 54 EDGE this cycle. He chose the Bulls on June 17. West Virginia and South Carolina are among those that have gauged interest this fall.
Dunnellon (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star safety Amari Jones was another big get back in April. The No. 81 safety in the nation plays for one of the top high school programs in the nation. Other top commits in USF’s class include: Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland three-star linebacker Dennis King, Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) Choctawhatchee three-star LB Ellis Alloway, Powell (Tenn.) three-star defensive lineman Iverson Garcia, Tallahassee (Fla.) Lawton Chiles three-star IOL Mykall Lundy-Foster and Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes three-star IOL Benjamin Corhei.
