2028 New Jersey CB Phoenix Evans has early offers from national programs

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep cornerback Phoenix Evans holds is already pushing 30 offers from schools across the country. He has recently offers from schools like Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, SMU and Texas A&M.
In the spring, the 5-foot-10, 160-pound defensive back visited Duke, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Texas A&M. He has visited multiple schools this summer already too, and a group of schools is currently standing out to him.
“Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Rutgers are the first that come to mind because I had very great visits with some of these programs,” Evans told On3. “It’s so early in my recruitment and I like a lot of programs, so I’m really interested in all the programs that are interested in me.”
This summer, Evans has already visited Florida, Notre Dame, SMU, Tennessee and Texas A&M. He is also thinking about adding a trip to Ole Miss and may also visit Miami if he can make it to South Florida.

Evans already knows what matters to him in a school.
“A few things that are important to me are making sure that I’m somewhere I can get developed for the next level and also, have an opportunity to see the field sooner than later,” Evans said.
“Another thing is making sure that I choose a staff that’s not going to change by the time I get there. I am also considering life after football, so after I figure out what I want to major in, that may play a role in my decision as well.”
