4-star EDGE Dre Quinn decommits from Clemson Tigers

Buford (Ga.) four-star EDGE Dre Quinn committed to Clemson over the summer, choosing the Tigers over schools like Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Texas.
But the recruiting didn’t stop. Tennessee did enough to get Quinn on campus for the Georgia game, ramping up their pursuit. Other programs have also intensified their efforts, prompting Quinn to decommit from Clemson and reopen his recruitment.
“It was not an easy decision,” Quinn told Rivals. “Clemson is a great school with a great coaching staff. I committed to them for many reasons. I just have to make sure I find the best fit for me.
“My decision has nothing to do with Clemson’s start this season—it’s about the right fit, playing in the right defense, and making the right decision for me.”
The new battle begins for Quinn
Tennessee has made a strong impression.
“I like Tennessee. Their defense plays fast and aggressive, and they have a great atmosphere,” Quinn said.

Texas remains in the mix as well. The Longhorns had momentum before Clemson landed Quinn’s commitment, and a return trip to Austin is possible.
Georgia Tech is also a contender, with Quinn almost visiting for the Clemson game. The Yellow Jackets continue to pursue him actively.
A new school has entered the conversation: Ohio State. Quinn is considering a trip to Columbus, saying, “I want to get up there. Ohio State is a great school with history.”
Quinn plans to take a step back, make the necessary visits, and ensure he makes the right decision before committing again.
