Four-star RB Amari Thomas flips his commitment back to Florida State

Marianna (Fla.) Blountstown Rivals300 running back Amari Thomas has flipped his commitment back to Florida State following another weekend visit to Tallahassee.
The four-star Thomas was previously committed to South Carolina. This is the second time he’s been in the fold for head coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles.
Rivals ranks Thomas as the nation’s No. 17 running back and No. 203 prospect overall. The Rivals Industry slots him as the No. 28 running back in America. He adds to a class previously ranked No. 14 nationally.
“It’s close to home,” Thomas has said in the past. “I have support from my hometown, support from my family.
“I feel like it’s right, not just the football part but the academic part. I think it will be great for me. I want to succeed in helping turn the program around.”
