Chicago OL Rico Schrieber commits to Purdue

Chicago (Ill.) Marist 2026 offensive lineman Rico Schrieber tells On3 he has committed to head coach Barry Odom and Purdue.

Schrieber was in West Lafayette this past Friday.

“The coaching staff are all great people,” Schrieber said. Offensive line coach Vance Vice led the charge in recruiting Schrieber.

“And I think the o-line coach will help develop me into a great player. I also love how close it is to me and the facilities.”

The 6-foot-7, 345-pound Schrieber chose Purdue over an offer list that included Miami, Florida, Nebraska, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Indiana among others.

“I just loved how to coaching staff really made me feel at home,” Schrieber said.

Schrieber is commit No. 1 for Odom and his staff in the 2026 recruiting cycle. His trainer Nate Oquendo from OL Mafia speaks highly.

“He can do it all,” Oquendo said. “A ton of natural ability. He’s dominant.

“He’s different man.”

He’s a Boilermaker.
