TE Ben Marshall announces commitment date

Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman tight end Ben Marshall announced his commitment date on Thursday. He will be revealing his college destination on the afternoon on Aug. 12.
Marshall is not ranked in the 2023 On3 Consensus and the 2023 On300. He is 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds.
The tight end has received multiple Power Five offers from programs including California, NC State, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt. He took official visits to the Golden Bears and the Panthers in June.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for Marshall’s commitment. Pitt leads for his pledge at 47.1%, while California is close behind at 31.2%. The only other school given a greater-than-1% chance is NC State at 9.5%.
The RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Marshall has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
