Tennessee flips NFL Academy TE Luca Wolf from Cal

Luca Wolf, a three-star tight end prospect out of NFL Academy in London, has flipped his commitment from Cal to Tennessee, he tells Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Pledged to the Golden Bears since June 12, Wolf is now set to head to Knoxville. He visited the Volunteers this weekend.
Wolf is the No. 83 tight end in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,274 prospect overall.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pounder is next in line to come out of NFL Academy overseas. Wolf is also a former Austrian National Team basketball player. He committed to Cal in the summer, but the Vols came in with an offer in October and have now flipped him away from the Golden Bears.
Wolf is the lone tight end in the Tennessee class. The Vols previously held a commitment from in-state four-star TE Carson Sneed, but he flipped to North Carolina this summer.
Tennessee has now landed two commitments this weekend despite losing to Oklahoma on Saturday. Earlier on Sunday, Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Siegel four-star offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo joined the Vols’ 2027 class.
Wolf the latest addition for Tennessee this fall
With 24 commits in the fold, Tennessee currently has the No. 8 class in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 5 in the SEC with the December signing period just over four weeks out.

The class is buoyed by six top-100 overall prospects. The class jewels are Hattiesburg (Miss.) five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, who flipped from LSU at the end of August, and Greensboro (N.C.) five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon. Keys remains the No. 1 receiver in the nation, while Brandon, who’s been committed for over 14 months, is the No. 3 QB overall.
Ogden (Utah) Fremont four-star Salesi Moa and Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland four-star Joel Wyatt are a pair of two-way standouts who check in at No. 52 and No. 67 overall, respectively. Moa is listed as an athlete, while Wyatt is now ranked as a safety prospect.
There’s more juice in the middle of the defense, too. Jackson (Miss.) four-star TJ White and Marietta (Ga.) four-star Brayden Rouse are the No. 5 and No. 7 linebackers in the cycle. The pair committed within a week of each other at the beginning of July.
There are three offensive linemen in the mix for Heupel and his staff: Baylor School (Tenn.) four-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda, Clarksville (Tenn.) Kirkwood four-star OT Kamari Blair and Baltimore St. Frances Academy three-star interior offensive lineman Edward Baker.
Huntsville (Ala.) Jemison four-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris flipped from Auburn in September and is the No. 105 recruit overall. Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic four-star wide receiver Tyreek King is a top-20 WR and the No. 5 recruit in Tennessee. The Vols’ full class can be seen here.
