On3 is ahead of the industry on <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/consensus-player/basketball/2022/">2022 On3 Consensus</a> No. 59 <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/adrame-diongue-1589/">Adrame Diongue</a>. On3 has the Chandler (AZ) AZ Compass 7-foot center ranked No. 36 in the class.



“I’m a rim runner and a shot blocker,” Diongue told <a href="https://www.on3.com/category/basketball-recruiting/news/">On3</a>. “I finish everything around the rim. I’ve been watching a lot of Clint Capela. He plays exactly how I play, the footwork, blocking shots, rim running, I try and take a lot from him.”



On3’s <a href="https://twitter.com/TiptonEdits/status/1501730914233208833?s=20&t=UWz9eib6UcvgeE20nFYLHg">Joe Tipton reported</a> the four-star was down to a final five a month ago. On3 caught up with Adrame Diongue in an exclusive interview at the Geico Nationals to get his thoughts on each program and a rough timeline for his visits and commitment.



“My top five are Kansas, UNLV, Kentucky, Washington State, and Texas Tech,” Diongue said.



<h2 id="h-diongue-talks-recruitment">Diongue talks recruitment</h2>



Texas Tech: “I had a great relationship with the coaches there. One of our point guards, Lamar Washington, is going there, and I play well with him.”



Kentucky: “I have been talking to their coaching staff regularly. We are trying to set up a visit date. I am excited to get over there and see them, build the relationship more, and find out more about how they are looking for me to contribute.”



Washington State: “We talk on the phone and text back and forth with the staff often. I love the fit for me there. They use their bigs and want them to rim run and post up. They want their bigs to play the way I play.”



Kansas: “They play through their bigs. They want their bigs to run the floor, finish around the rim, and block shots. That is exactly how I play. Joel Embiid played there. I see myself similar to him, so they also talk about that with me.”



UNLV: “They are a good school. I like how they create plays for the bigs with the pick and rolls and lobs.”



<h2 id="h-diongue-s-take">Diongue’s take</h2>



“After Geico ends, when I get back home,” Diongue said. “I’m going to start setting up visits to these schools. I’ll commit soon after I am done taking the visits.



“I want to go somewhere they can develop me as a player. I have only played basketball for three years, so development is huge for me. I’ll look at how they use their bigs and the style they play too.”



<h2 id="h-on3-s-take">On3’s take</h2>



There is something about a player who continues to improve each time they step on the floor. Adrame Diongue is like a blank canvas right now, and all the tools are available. Diongue has good size and length; he is extremely mobile, with excellent timing. The 7-footer has touch from the free-throw line and is developing a face-up game. He will need to continue getting stronger and working on his offensive repertoire, but the strides he continues to make in only three years are very promising with a big upside
