Back in May, Wisconsin picked up a commitment from Cincinnati St. Xavier three-star linebacker Aden Reeder. Five months later, he remains in the mix for the Badgers, but other schools are showing interest.

Across the last two days, Reeder has announced offers from four Power Four programs: Kentucky, Northwestern, Michigan and Nebraska.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is yet to announce any visit plans, but suitors are arriving. The same can be said for plenty of Wisconsin’s 2026 commits. The Badgers (2-5, 0-4 Big Ten) are amidst a woeful season and head coach Luke Fickell is firmly on the hot seat, despite a recent vote of confidence from Athletic Director Chris McIntosh.

Reeder is the No. 567 overall prospect and No. 46 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 28 player in Ohio.

Iowa, Michigan State and Minnesota were amongst the programs in the mix for Reeder prior to his commitment to Wisconsin. He’s currently one of 15 commits in the Badgers’ 2026 class.

Playing for an elite high school football program in Ohio, Reeder put together an impressive junior season in 2024, logging 72 total tackles, three forced fumbles, three pass breakups and three sacks. So far as a senior for St. X, he’s notched 47 tackles and six sacks, according to MaxPreps. The Bombers are currently 7-2 and rank as the No. 9 team in Ohio, per the Rivals Composite Ranking.

More on Wisconsin Recruiting

Fickell and his staff are feeling the heat and have six long weeks to go until the December signing period. Reeder is not the only Badgers pledge that’s receiving interest from elsewhere.

Naples (Fla.) St. John Neumann four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit remains at the top of the class and just landed an offer from Washington. Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek four-star running back Amari Latimer is now trending to flip to Ohio State, per the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine. Detroit Catholic Central three-star tight end Jack Janda and Germantown (Tenn.) three-star defensive lineman Djidjou Bah are among those setting other visits this fall.

That said, Wisconsin has still added a couple pieces to the fold this fall. On Sept. 22, Fresno (Calif.) Buchanan three-star cornerback Donovan Dunmore flipped from Oregon State. Earlier this month, Medina (Tenn.) South Gibson three-star EDGE Yahya Gaad joined the class after decommitting from UCLA.

The current 15-man class ranks No. 39 nationally, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. It remains to be seen what will become of the pledge list down the stretch. Wisconsin still has Oregon, Washington, Indiana, Illinois and Minnesota on its schedule, so wins will be tough to come by.
