Building off their upset win over No. 24 Washington, Wisconsin has made its latest move in the class of 2026, flipping Florida International running back commit Qwantavius Wiggins (Fairburn, Ga./Langston Hughes) following an official visit over the weekend.

“I enjoyed the visit,” he told Badger Blitz. “They treated me well. It was really good they won that game. It’s crazy there. I didn’t expect that. I thought Wisconsin was a small state.”

A riser in the senior class, Wiggins ran for 823 yards and 14 touchdowns while averaging 9.6 yards per carry in just eight games thus far. Wiggins also had 131 yards receiving on five catches. In addition to Wisconsin, Wiggins was also pursued by Florida State and Auburn, while receiving strong interest from Tennessee and Clemson.

The Badgers offered Wiggins on Nov. 1. Since then, running backs coach Devon Spalding made a strong play for the three-star tailback. Spalding was down in Georgia to visit Wiggins during the most recent bye week.

Wiggins is one of two tailbacks for UW in the class of 2026, joining Amari Latimer (Tyrone, Ga.). He and Latimer actually train together in the off-season.

“I think it would be a good 1-2 punch,” he said.

Wisconsin is up to 15 commitments in the class of 2026, a group that ranks top 45 nationally per the Rivals team recruiting rankings. Wiggins is the nation’s No. 52 ranked running back in the class of 2026.
