JUCO safety MJ Graham decommits from Minnesota
JUCO wide receiver Derrick Salley was not the only prospect to decommit from Minnesota on Tuesday evening. The Golden Gophers also lost a commitment from JUCO safety, MJ Graham, a teammate of Salley’s at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
The Hutchinson Community College defender was committed to the Golden Gophers for just over two weeks, and his decommitment comes just a week before signing day.
“After a thoughtful conversation with my family, I will be de-committing from the University of Minnesota,” Graham said in a statement on X. “I would like to thank all the coaches and staff there, and I appreciate them for believing in me and giving me an opportunity!”
Graham originally committed to Minnesota over offers from Michigan State, Kansas State, UCF, and West Virginia, among others.
Graham is the second decommitment this week for Minnesota
While Graham joins Salley in decommitting from the Gophers, he also joins three-star running back Jett Walker (Georgetown, TX) as prospects to decommit from the program this week. Walker made his own decision to flip his commitment from Minnesota on Sunday night following an official visit to the in-state Texas Longhorns.
With Graham’s decommitment, the Gophers now hold 28 commitments in their 2026 recruiting class. He is the seventh prospect to decommit from the Gophers this cycle, joining WR Derrick Salley, OT Daniel McMorris, OT Mataali Benjamin, RB Jett Walker, WR Kai Meza, and TE/LB Charlie Jilek.
